They say that the theme of the month is love. However, for us, that is the theme of life because of the gospel.
But God shows his love in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
Because of the love of God through Christ, we can love others and support them through the challenges and struggles of life. God's commandment is for us to love each other as He has loved us. Think of all the ways and in all the conditions He has loved us. He has shown us love when:
We were lost in our sin
We've turned our back on Him
We've fallen short
We've been at our worst
Those struggling with addiction need a community who knows their situation and chooses to love them all the same. There are 131 million people facing the giant of addiction. And 131 million opportunities to love others by sharing the hope of the gospel. I don't know about you, but that number humbles and motivates me to stay aware of and diligent in the opportunities God puts in front of me.
Thank you for your continued partnership in our mission to love others and show the love and hope of Christ.

They say that the theme of the month is love. However, to us, that is the theme of life. Enough Ministries
Please join us in celebrating our newest church partner, Enough Ministries in Barre, Vermont! Enough Ministries’ mission is to serve hurting people both practically and through pastoral care. Enough Ministries is adding addictions ministry to the list of ways they reach out to their community! Please pray for the leaders of Enough Ministries as they establish their group and begin training.
Staff Retreat
This month, Hope for Addiction staff spent a couple of days away from the office to refresh our minds and work on exciting upcoming projects. Last year we rolled out the Church Toolkit and it is a hit! Over 110 churches are using the tools and resources that Hope for Addiction donors have made possible through their giving. Many of these churches have reached out for advice and help in specific situations in their churches. This gave us an idea to create training packages that churches can purchase to help them help addicts in their communities. These packages will be perfect for churches that aren’t able to host a Recovering Hope meeting but desire to walk with struggling addicts with practical support based on gospel principles. This is another tool Hope for
Addiction is using to equip the Church and bring hope to struggling addicts.
Special Announcement
God continues to amazing and humble me as I see His immense love for the broken and hurting. Our Board has approved opening a new home for at-risk single moms and their kids. The home will launch in the spring. It is a big undertaking, but the Lord is already making provision. God has been faithful and Hope for Addiction has grown significantly year over year. His faithfulness and provision through you, has increased my faith. So as we consider all the important details, and prayerfully consider what the Lord has for us, please pray for wisdom and clear direction.
